Clean technology refers to any process, product, or service that reduces negative environmental impacts through significant energy efficiency improvements, the sustainable use of resources, or environmental protection activities.

Within the Cleantech sector in the east of England, there are currently 55 operating composite companies, and over 64,000 jobs within construction, highlighting the impact of the sector on the local economy.

Harnessing renewable materials and energy sources, while

Greatly reducing negative ecological impacts, as well as

improving efficiency + responsible use (and reuse) of natural resources

The Cleantech East network is a sector network bringing together students, businesses and researchers to encourage innovation and knowledge transfer, facilitating the transition towards a circular economy within the East.
